INVITATION TO GREEN BUSINESSES to be part of our Green Expo Saturday March 20, 2010 in Wofford Heights, CA.
The all-volunteer organization Kern River Valley Revitalization (KRVR) invites green businesses (retailer, contractors, consultants, etc.) to be a vendor at 2nd Green Expo, to be held Saturday, March 20, 2010. It is part of the 5 day Living Green Kern River Valley Festival being held March 17 to 21, 2010.
Several of our 1st expo vendors got business directly as a result of being a part of the expo.
A 100 panel solar system in Wofford Heights and several vertical axis wind-turbine system contracts resulted (maybe more that we don't know about). A landscape designer specializing in water-saving native plants realized several contacts for landscape work in the Kern River Valley.
The next Green Expo will be Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the same location as last year (Family Life Center gym/parking lot, Wofford Heights, CA). Though many of those attending live in the Kern River Valley, a large number come from greater Kern County and some from as far as Fresno and San Diego, based on our experience at the 1st Green Expo in March 2009.
IMPROVEMENTS THIS YEAR:
- We are concentrating events at Wofford Heights’ Family Life Center (there will be workshops there throughout the day). We will have a Green Fashion show at the Elk's Lodge 1 block away. Again, the Green Film Festival will be at The Reel Cinema (a half-block away). And the Run for Living Green also in Wofford Heights.
- There will be children's events to help attract families.
- ONLY GREEN VENDORS will be in our Green Expo. Other organizations will be at our KRV Community Faire in Lake Isabella on Sunday, March 21 instead of at the Green Expo.
- The FEE is $100 (but includes a $50 ad in the Kern River Courier's "GreenLiving" insert (our official program) being distributed to 8,000+ readers. - We've added set up time on Friday, March 19 in addition to Saturday March 20 before the Green Expo itself.
- Vendors get a 10% discount at Barewood Inn & Lakeshore Lodge in Wofford Heights http://kernrivervalleymotels.com
- A limited number of RV spaces will be available for vendors next door at a reasonable rate at the Elks RV Lot directly adjacent to the Green Expo.
Deadline to appear in our program is February 18, 2010.
