Established by the Kern County Board of Supervisors to oversee the 22 acre, 150+ year-old cemetery between Wofford Heights & Kernville. Water supply for landscape irrigation is a current issue (see Community Discussion for the forum on this issue).

Approx. 28 musicians, mostly from the Kern River Valley, but a few from Ridgecrest. Bruce Brady, conductor. The Orchestra performs everything from works by the masters to pop & movie favorites to seasonal selections. Includes "Jazztones."

The Kern River Paiute Council operates the Center for Indian Communities & the general public. It's building houses a museum, library & gift shop; 5 acre grounds features a native plant garden, a large gatherings area, native grinding stones, etc.

Mission: to spay & neuter as many pets as possible & rescue abandoned & abused animals in the KRV on a voluntary pay basis. We are a nonprofit organization funded by donations. We will solicit monthly pledges from local residents & businesses.
